The Biometrics Institute is an independent not-for-profit membership organisation, founded in 2001 with funding from the Australian government. Its mission is to be a forum for biometric users and other interested parties and to facilitate the responsible use of biometrics. Danish Biometrics was founded in 2006 by a number of companies, universities and organizations with the mission to work for a sustainable development of biometrics on the Danish market. The association TeleTrusT was founded in 1989 to establish reliable conditions for the trustworthy application of information and communication technologies.
